Where are classes?
Located next to Whitten Oval and near West Footscray station, The Drill Hall has been the home of Women’s Circus since 2006. The training center is equipped with specialised circus gear including trapezes, climbing ropes and aerial equipment. It can accommodate groups of up to 50 participants and is fully accessible. Features include on-site parking, community kitchen, Wi-Fi and a community room.
How old do I need to be to train?
Our adult classes are designed for anyone over 18 years old. We encourage you to attend our classes no matter your age or fitness level. Many Women’s Circus members are in their 20’s and 30’s but we have some students in their 50’s and beyond! If you have concerns about your fitness or have specific needs please talk to us so we can help you work out what class is best for you.
What do I need to wear?
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in and go upside down in. You may also want to bring deodorant and a hand towel, especially in summer. For Aerial workshops, it is a good idea to wear tights that cover the back of your knees, and to bring a t-shirt.
What do I bring?
We encourage you to bring a water bottle, something light to snack on and to wear layers (the temperature in our space is pretty variable!). There is a kitchen in the building with a fridge. You can use it to store water, food and drinks.
