Position: Executive Director
Location: Women’s Circus in Footscray (with remote flexibility)
Hours: Full time or 0.8 EFT, negotiable
Remuneration: $85,000–94,000 pro-rata per annum, commensurate with experience, plus Superannuation and all entitlements
Term: 2 years with the possibility to become ongoing, preferred start date February 2025.

About the role:

The Executive Director sets and communicates the long-term vision of Women’s Circus. The role oversees operations, financial management, fundraising, human resources, governance, and program development. With a focus on growth, the Executive Director maintains strong relationships with stakeholders and leads the development of new opportunities in alignment with purpose and values. The Executive Director’s role is flexible and has space to be shaped by the individual.

About You:

  • Committed to Women’s Circus values and vision.
  • Motivated by the opportunity to drive the vision, strategy and programming of a small community arts organisation.
  • A proven leader with people management experience and a background in not-for-profit or social enterprise.
  • Strong financial acumen, planning and project management skills to guide strategic decision-making.
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to manage key stakeholders and inspire a diverse team.
  • Proven success raising funds through grant writing and philanthropic engagement.
  • An adaptable mindset, ready to embrace challenges and implement new ideas to ensure the sustainability and impact of Women’s Circus.
